Jeremy Lin represents
Jeremy Lin, in da house! A Jason Kidd-like performance. I thought he was going to wash out of the league. Lin was not heavily recruited out of HS and played his college ball at Harvard.

You know, I was going to mention Lin's breakout performance at Madison Square Garden in another thread until I saw it here. Random musing, I wonder if Lin is the smartest player in the league? Pau Gasol supposedly comes from a family of doctors and has dreams of becoming a doctor himself after he retires from the league...
I thought there were indigenous Formosans in Taiwan who are not ethnically Chines.
Steve, Lin followed up his breakout game in New York with a 28 point 8 assist performance in Utah.

A recent ranking of the top 5 smartest NBA players. Lin is the first Harvard grad to play in the NBA since 1954.

I don't really follow basketball, but in rugby there does seem to be an advantage from having reasonably smart players. In Australia for a long time rugby was mainly played in elite private schools. Their national team would struggle in terms of depth compared to NZ, but their players tended to be smarter and they perform very well despite a smaller player base.
